Annual Chiefs of
Ontario Youth Symposium

The Mushkegowuk
Council is pleased to announce that we have been selected as the
successful host for the Annual Chiefs of Ontario Youth Symposium focusing
on the Environment.
The Mushkegowuk
Youth and Health departments along with the Mushkegowuk Environment
Research Centre are working closely with the Chiefs of Ontario Planning
committee to prepare for the projected 300 participants from the 134
First Nations in Ontario, including the seven Mushkegowuk communities.
The Symposium is
scheduled for February 28 – March 2, 2008 in Timmins, Ontario. Each
Mushkegowuk Chief and Council will be encouraged to sponsor 2 Youth from
their respective community to attend this event.
