WHEREAS education is a J?riority with Native people;

vs1HEREAS Native students with families attending education institution face hardshi?S financially in regards to maintaining a. proJ?er home environment;

WHEREAS the changes in the PSEAP training allowance rate reflects the benefits in families where both husband and wife are students, or for students living with a working spouse;

WHEREAS there are no provisions for PSEAP allowance increases for families that have only one spouse attending school or training;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED TH.AT higher allowances be made available to families that have only one parent receiving training allowance, and the training allowance is the main source of income for the family while in an education institution.
