RESOLUTION NO. 1987-35

SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

WHEREAS this Assembly has amended the By-laws of the Mushkegowuk Council, and;

WHEREAS the new by-laws provide for the election of a Chairman only if candidates are registered thirty days before the election, and;

WHEREAS the new by-laws that the Board of Directors may appoint a Chairman until an. election is held at a duly called Assembly.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

That this Assembly express its full satisfaction with the performance of the present Chairman, and;

This Assembly direct ·the Board of Directors to appoint Mr. Norman Wesley as Chairman of the Mushkegowuk Council for a period of one year, or until a duly called election can be called, and;

That an election for the position of Chairman be held at the next Assembly.
