RESOLUTION NO. 1989-78

SUBJECT: LAND USE

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk Council obtain funding for and carry out a comprehensive study of land use within the area under its jurisdiction. The study will focus on:

determining the pattern and extent of land use, historically and at present;

determining the value placed on the continuing availability of land for traditional purposes by the Mushkegowuk people;

determining the areas and amount of land that must be protected and preserved by and for the use of the Mushkegowuk people for traditional purposes.
