RESOLUTION NO. 1989-80
SUBJECT: EDUCATION
WHEREAS the New Post Band has administered its own education program since 1986 covering elementary, secondary and post-secondary students;
AND WHEREAS the Department of Indian Affairs has provided a total of only $2,080.00 to cover the costs of administering this program;
AND WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council has already stated its support for the New Post Band's request for additional funding for education programs;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council fully supports the request of the New Post Band to the Department of Indian Affairs for adequate funds for the proper administration of the education programs of the Band.
