SUBJECT: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

WHEREAS the New Post Band lacks an economic base from which to support its people;

AND WHEREAS an Economic Development Corporation could assist the New Post people by helping them to create employment and business opportunities;

AND WHEREAS economic development could lead to a better financial situation for both the New Post Band and its members;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk Council supports the desire of the New Post Band to create an Economic Development Corporation.
