RESOLUTION NO. 1989-90

SUBJECT: BAND SUPPORT FUNDING (EMERGENCY)

WHEREAS 1989-90 funding will not be finalized until late May 1989 for the New Post Band due to the preparation of a financial management plan;

AND WHEREAS the New Post Band is currently involved in negotiating for funds to set up and implement new programs;

Adopted by consensus

Certified copy of a Resolution adopted on: February 23, 1989

AND imEREAS the New Post Band vii11 incur substantial expenses because of the need to carry out negotiations in person;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk Council supports the request of the New Post Band that the Department of Indian Affairs release $6,000.00 in emergency funding to the New Post Band to offset the costs of this travel.
