RESOLUTION NO. 1990-124
SUBJECT: KASHECHEWAN CHRONIC CARE
WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation have contacted the Department of Indian Affairs about the need for a chronic care facility here in Kashechewan;
AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation have identified their elders that need chronic care in the community;
AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation realize that there is a chronic care facility in Fort Albany and Moose Factory to send their elders for chronic care;
AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council experience the feelings of their elders when they are away from their home town and they miss their grandchildren and family;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Chief and Council request Mushkegowuk Council to process and lobby for a chronic care facility in the community of Kashechewan.
