SUBJECT: KASHECHEWAN HIGH SCHOOL

WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation have approxi­mately one hundred students every year;

AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation have experienced a high rate of dropping out from high school in southern areas due to isolation from home and family;

AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First nation know that if there is a high school here in the community, students would complete their courses;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Chief and Council request support from the Mushkegowuk Chiefs and that Mushkegowuk Council process a Kashechewan high school and lobby on behalf of the Kashechewan First Nation.
