RESOLUTION NO. 1990-128

SUBJECT: KASHECHEWAN GENERATOR

WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation have Ontario Hydro for elec­trification in the community;

AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation have asked Ontario Hydro to pay for a land lease where their poles, anchors and facilities are located in the reserve;

AND WHEREAS Ontario Hydro has refused to pay the Chief and Council for land leases due to their policy;

AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation realize that they are receiving partial payment from the government when the time comes to have their own Generator in the community;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Chief and Council request that Mushkegowuk Council process a Band Generator in the community to supply electricity to each individual household and buildings.

WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation realize that the members of the community need a bank to do their business;

AND WHEREAS the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation have problems on pay day and welfare day due to the lack of funds or cash at the Northern Store Inc.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Chief and Council of Kashechewan First Nation request the Mushkegowuk Council to process and lobby for a Bank in the community.
