AND WHEREAS Pathways to Success is based on the establishment of local joint-management training boards, equally composed of native community and EIC representatives, which have decision-making powers with regards to funding for local training programs;
AND WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council, has developed a proposal for a "lead" Pathways
to Success board for the Mushkegowuk region;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT this Assembly supports the set-up of a lead Pathways to Success joint-management training board for the Mushkegowuk region;
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED THAT Nishnawbe-Aski Nation will support this proposal and advocate the rapid set-up of such a board.
