SUBJECT: SERVICE DELIVERY IN THE NEW HOSPITAL

WHEREAS the governments of Canada and Ontario are agreed on the construction of a new hospital on Moose Factory Island;

AND WHEREAS Medical Services Branch is committed to continue the present level of funding for health care services;
AND WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council is committed to ensuring that the services and programs available through Moose Factory Hospital do not decrease as a result of the construction of the new hospital in Timmins;
AND WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council is committed to ensuring the continued delivery of health care services and programs within the Mushkegowuk area;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk Council continues to support the range of service delivery provided in Moose Factory Hospital;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk
Council outline a strategy for the negotiation of additional resources for enhanced service delivery.
