RESOLUTION NO. 1991-13
Subject: Drug and Alcohol Abuse
WHEREAS the establishment of detoxification services is an integral part of the Alcohol and Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation process;
WHEREAS there is a need to ensure adequate qualitative support to the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Rehabilitation services in the Mushkegowuk Council area;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Chiefs support the effort to provide detoxification services in the Hudson's and James Bay area, by the First Nation member communities;
BE IT FURTHERRESOLVEDthatthese services be pursued and developed in a manner consistent to the goals and objectives of the First Nations initiative to address the issue of Drug and Alcohol Abuse in their communities.
