RESOLUTION NO. 1992-18

Subject: Social Program Funding

WHEREAS the delegates to this Assembly recognize that there are gaps in the provIsIon of social services in our communities, particularly services relating to children;

AND WHEREAS we recognize that this gap may be filled in part by such social programmes as a children's cultural camp;

AND WHEREAS a need has also been recognized for an organization which would provide treatment and assistance with "hard-to-handle" children;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk Council staff be directed to explore the possibility of securing funds for the social programmes referred to above and to report on these investigations to the Board of Chiefs.
