RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-11
SUBJECT: NEW AIR TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS IN MUSHKEGOWUK TERRITORIES
WHEREAS air transportation is vital to the Mushkegowuk Council communities;
WHEREAS the cost of air transportation is a major burden for the people of Mushkegowuk, especially in times of cutbacks in government funding;
WHEREAS having only a single airline servicing the Mushkegowuk territory does not lend itself to competitive service;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council invite other airlines to investigate providing service in Mushkegowuk territory, and to provide proposals including prices and service plans;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the long term Mushkegowuk Council and Pasico Development Corporation work toward owning its own airline which will service the Mushkegowuk territory.
