INTERFERENCE AND INTIMIDATION OF NISHNAWBE ASKI POLICE SERVICES (NAPS) OFFICERS

WHEREAS there have been instances where people in positions of power have used their positions to interfere with or intimidate NAPS officers in the course of carrying out their duties;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council in Assembly develop a policy or protocol in consultation with NAPS to govern cases of possible political interference with police officers in the conduct of their duties.
