RESOLUTION NO. 2002-09-12

MONIES OWED BY SAGASHTAWAO HEALING LODGE

WHEREAS Sagashtawao Healing Lodge incurred a deficit of $82,000 owing to Mushkegowuk Council, and;

WHEREAS Sagashtawao Healing Lodge has been making payments to Mushkegowuk Council on an annual basis to the current remaining balance of $7,173.30, and;

WHEREAS Sagashtawao Healing Lodge has operated under the same level of funding for the period 1994 to 2000 which has brought financial difficulty to the organization, and;

WHEREAS Sagashtawao Healing Lodge is requesting the assistance of Mushkegowuk Council by forgiving the current outstanding amount.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chiefs and delegates in Assembly mandate the Finance department to direct the Auditor to write off the outstanding amount of $7,173.30 owed by Sagashtawao Healing Lodge to Mushkegowuk Council.
