REGIONAL SPORTS & RECREATION COUNCIL

WHEREAS there is a need for a regional sport and recreation program in the Mushkegowuk territory;

WHEREAS a regional sport and recreation program will provide an equal opportunity for all of the Mushkegowuk communities;

WHEREAS the regional sport and recreation program shall provide a number of opportunities including recreational, social, economic and environmental,

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk communities will have a collective voice in initiating local and regional sport and recreation programs;

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council will develop where necessary training that may be required to implement local and regional sport and recreation programs;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the development of a regional sport and recreation council to deliver sport development programs and services throughout the Mushkegowuk territory as a collective community.
