KASHECHEWAN FIRST NATION ELDERS HOME

WHEREAS it is the desire of the Kashechewan First Nation to care for its elders in the community;

WHEREAS a feasibility study and capital plan was commissioned by the First Nation in 2001 on an Elders Home;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Assembly endorses the development of an Elders Home for Kashechewan First Nation as outlined in the feasibility study that was conducted;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Assembly mandates the Mushkegowuk Council to provide the necessary political and technical support services in assisting the Kashechewan First Nation in securing an Elders facility.
