Resolution No. 2003-09-31
MUSHKEGOWUK COUNCIL HUB SYSTEM -WATER QUALITY
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council First Nations have a responsibility and desire to provide safe drinking water for its members; and
WHEREAS the majority of Mushkegowuk First Nations are forced to operate their facilities with limited budgets and inadequately trained operators; and
WHEREAS many of the existing water treatment facilities are in need of substantial upgrades in order to be able to produce safe, high, quality drinking water; and
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council First Nations have joined together to develop and implement a Hub System to address water quality issues in the Mushkegowuk region.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk First Nations fully support, in principle, the creation and establishment of a Hub System to address the issues related to water quality.
