Women's Representation on the Elders Advisory Council

WHEREAS it is important that the views and needs of Mushkegowuk women are represented fairly;

WHEREAS it is important that the Assembly of Chiefs and delegates have the benefit of a Women's Elder Advisor to sit with the Elders Advisory Council;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly recognize and respect the efforts of women to ensure that the issues of concern to women are addressed; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the establishment of a Women's Elder Advisory Council to provide guidance and assistance as requested on Council initiatives;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the benefit of having a Women's Elder Advisor along with the Council Elder at all future assemblies.
