Payukotayno: James and Hudson Bay Family Services Remoteness Initiative
WHEREAS Payukotayno has undergone a financial and service review through the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies to address service shortfalls; and
WHEREAS the review identified as the Remoteness Report has been endorsed by the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies and the Mushkegowuk leadership; and

WHEREAS inequities exist in funding between Payukotayno and related mainstream agencies as noted in the Remoteness Report which have not been addressed by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs and Delegates in Assembly direct the office of the Grand Chief to politically advocate the advancement of the Remoteness Report through the appropriate Minister's office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the possibility of a claim with the Human Rights Commission be investigated.
