Regional Chiefs Task Force on Social Services

WHEREAS it is the responsibility of the office of the Grand Chief to politically advocate the best interests of the organizations created by Mushkegowuk Council;

WHEREAS it is deemed necessary for the establishment of a Regional Chiefs Special Task Force to politically advocate and advance Regional Child, Family and Social Services issues;

WHEREAS Payukotayno: James & Hudson Bay Family Services have agreed to cover the costs associated for this Committee to meet on a quarterly basis;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs and Delegates in Assembly support and direct the office of the Grand Chief to pursue the establishment of a Regional Chiefs Committee to politically advocate and advance regional child, family and social services issues.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Terms of Reference be developed to clarify the role and responsibilities of the Committee, accountability and reporting protocol.
