Mushkegowuk Environmental Warning System

WHEREAS the communities of Mushkegowuk have on occasion experienced incidents of severe weather storms resulting in the damage and destruction of buildings including supporting infrastructure; and

WHEREAS Environment Canada does not provide environmental and severe weather warning specific to the communities of Mushkegowuk;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chiefs and Delegates in Assembly mandate the Grand Chief and the Executive to explore with Environment Canada and investigate the development and implementation of an environmental and severe weather warning system for the Mushkegowuk communities.
