Dialysis Services in Mushkegowuk First Nations

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk First Nations have a deep respect for their families and elders, and the need for Community members to move away from their homes to receive dialysis treatment causes undue hardships on patients and their families, and

WHEREAS there are only limited dialysis services and patient housing opportunities available in Moose Factory;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamohitowin of the Omushkegowuk direct the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority to begin a planning process for the provision of Dialysis services in each of the Mushkegowuk First Nations Communities.
