WHEREAS preserving and honouring our spiritual and traditional practices is vital to our existence as Omushkego; and

WHEREAS that this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk is recognized as our regional government where decisions affecting our future and well­being is made; and

WHEREAS our annual Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk is spiritually and emotionally empowering and we need to make every effort to conduct our given ceremonies during our Mamowihitowin; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin encourages the host community of our annual Mamowihitowin to provide necessary daily ceremonies, including social activities that promote unity, goodwill and to provide healthy snacks.
