Justice System Reform in Mushkegowuk Territory

WHEREAS the people of Mushkegowuk communities sometimes encounter the institutions and processes of the non-native justice system; and

WHEREAS it is often the case that the operation of the justice system in Mushkegowuk territory is often woefully inadequate and even harmful to our people;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council staff seek to organize a Justice Conference to review ways to improve the operation of the justice system in Mushkegowuk territory.
