Regional Housing Strategy 2014

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council has been mandated through Resolution No. 2012-09-06 -Development of a Mushkegowuk First Nations Housing Strategy; and

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council has developed a draft regional housing strategy through consultation with Mushkegowuk First Nation's leadership; and

WHEREAS the draft regional housing strategy developed by Mushkegowuk Council still needs to be ratified through community consultation;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk agree in principle to the draft Regional Housing Strategy 2014-2034 as presented to this Mamowihitowin and direct Mushkegowuk Council to consult and engage with the Mushkegowuk communities with the goal of seeking ratification of the Regional Housing Strategy by November 1, 2014; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk develop by November 1, 2014 a

detailed implementation plan for the Regional Housing Strategy.
