Renewal of Employment and Training Services Agreement

WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Employment and Training Services has delivered employment and training services for the Mushkegowuk region since 1997 through a series of 5 year strategies; and

WHEREAS many citizens of the Mushkegowuk First Nations continue to gain important skills and qualifications required to secure employment, support their families and contribute to our economies; and

WHEREAS the current funding agreement expires on March 31, 2015 and is referred to as Aboriginal Skills and Employment Strategy (ASETS);

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk strongly supports the renewal of a 5 year successor to ASETS agreement through the Partnership of Mushkegowuk Council and Wabun Tribal Council referred to as "Mamonuskomitowin Steering Committee" post 2015.
