Mushkegowuk Regional Corporations Roundtable

WHEREAS the existence and operation of various regional organisations established by the Mushkegowuk First Nations, mandated to provide a variety of services within the territory, are created by the Omushkegowuk's treaty rights, and to provide basic needs and services to the Omushkegowuk; and

WHEREAS iri many cases, due to government legislation, funding issues, and community growth the original visions, mandates and service plans of these organisation have been altered over time or have experienced problems with service delivery,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin of the Mushkegowuk directs the Mushkegowuk Council to seek funds to hold a roundtable or symposium to discuss and review the mandates, missions, and objectives and terms of reference for Mushkegowuk affiliated regional entities to review their continued alignment with their founding documents and the vIsIon and challenges of the Omushkegowuk; and where necessary, recommend improvements so that we receive appropriate value from each entity.
