Continuation of CreeFest and the Mushkegowuk Cup

WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council hosts CreeFest and the Mushkegowuk Cup across the region to foster close cultural and community ties and the Omushkegowuk, through these events, come together to celebrate sports and culture; and

WHEREAS the Omushkegowuk have always held regional events to continue to foster unity and culture among our peoples, deepening and sustaining our culture;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk supports the continuation of these annual events and encourages funding partners to provide support in order to ensure that events are able to continue.
