Food Security Assistance in Mushkegowuk Territory

WHEREAS the high cost and limited available of healthy food for families and individuals in Mushkegowuk Territories is a major obstacle to the health and wellbeing of Mushkegowuk community members, and has been an ongoing issue for many years.

THEREFORE.BE IT RESOLVED thŁ the Mushkegowuk Council seek ways to assist Mushkegowuk communities with food security issues, including the possibility of creating a Mushkegowuk Food Security Advisory Group to provide information and assistance to communities and community members, working in conjunction with the Mushkegowuk Environmental Research Centre and Nutrition North.
