Resolution for the Establishment of a Regional Board of Trade

WHEREAS this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkego fully supports the Mushkegowuk Economic Development department's efforts towards sustained regional economic development; and

WHEREAS this Mamowihitowin urges the Mushkegowuk Economic Development department to pursue efforts to develop an institutional regional economic development framework leading to outcomes beneficial to member communities through active participation of all economic development players in the region; and

WHEREAS the Omushkegowuk will work with willing partners who respect the aspirations and leadership of the Mushkegowuk First Nations in economic development planning to establish regional participation framework through a business circle; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin directs the Mushkegowuk Economic Development department to proceed with the establishment of the regional board of trade or such institution to create a table

for businesses in the region to share information, resolve challenges and pursue opportunities in a collaborative manner.
