Decentralization of Regional Services
WHEREAS Over the many years since the Omushkegowuk established their regional service organizations , the Mushkegowuk First Nations continue to experience community growth and development in all sectors of their community services and governance systems; and
WHEREAS along with community growth and development, the demand for quality services on a daily basis increases in our communities; and
WHEREAS when establishing their regional service organizations, the vision, intent and more importantly, the right of the Omushkegowuk was to eventually take on greater roles and responsibility of their own services and governance within their own communities; and
WHEREAS This Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk acknowledges that every First Nation has highly skilled and trained individuals and that we must recognize these skills and encourage our own citizens to advise, build and implement our own service organizations;
