NIHB Negotiations

WHEREAS the current NIHB programs have been operated by Health Canada through its Ottawa office and;

WHEREAS there has always been a concern with the delivery of services under NIHB, and;

WHEREAS Canada has exercised interest in supporting discussions on the transferring this responsibility to Mushkegowuk Council, and;

WHEREAS the discussion includes the transfer of the NIHB program, the transportation of patients, including air ambulance, hostels, partnerships and other related services

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the chiefs and delegates in this assembly give their support and direction to the Mushkegowuk Executive Council to begin these discussions and report accordingly back to the AGA on their progress.
