Call for a Special Assembly on Health
WHEREAS the health priorities and concerns are diverse and unique in the Mushkegowuk Region and;
WHEREAS there are major concerns regarding the standards of care, policies and processes that impact the access, quality and services that Omushkegowuk access on a daily basis, and;
WHEREAS there is a need for the Omushkego Chiefs and citizens to gather and discuss the health care concerns, priorities and strategic direction for the Mushkegowuk region;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mahmowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk mandates the Mushkegowuk Council to host an urgent Special Assembly on Health to take place January 14-16, 2020 in Fort Albany First Nation.
