Continuation of Creefest

WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council hosts CreeFest across the region to foster close cultural and community ties and the Omushkegowuk, through this event, come together to celebrate sports and culture; and

WHEREAS the Omushkegowuk have always held regional events to continue to foster unity and culture among our peoples, deepening and sustaining our culture;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chiefs and delegates of this 36th Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk supports the continuation of CreeFest to be hosted in Moose Cree First Nation in 2023 and encourages funding partners to provide support in order to ensure that events are able to continue.
