RESOLUTION NO. 1992-11
Subject: Education Control
WHEREAS the 1987 and 1988 Assemblies approved plans for local control of education, and approved the formation of regional education organization;
AND WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk communities have worked together and consulted the communities to develop the terms of reference for an education organization which supports local control;
AND WHEREAS this education organization will refer all political issues to Board of Chiefs of the Mushkegowuk Council, report monthly to the Board of Chiefs of the Mushkegowuk Council, and report annually to the Mushkegowuk Council Assembly;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT this Assembly supports and approves the incorporation of Kiskinnohamakaywi Weecheehitowin and delegates it the responsibility to deal with regional education issues.
