RESOLUTION NO. 1993-06

subject: Policing

WHEREAS it is necessary for Mushkegowuk Council to select a new representative to the NAN Police Services Board and to select a location for the Divisional Headquarters;

AND WHEREAS it is important for individual First Nations to form Police Committees and to improve relationships between Peacekeepers and other officers;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Chiefs of Mushkegowuk Council select a new representative for the Police Services Board, by October 31, 1993;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Chiefs of Mushkegowuk Council select a location for the Divisional Headquarters, by October 31, 1993;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that individual First Nations form Police Committees in their communities;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that individual First Nations who do not already have a Peacekeeper programme seriously consider creating one, and that individual First Nations with existing Peacekeeper programmes work
