RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-15
SUBJECT: KASHECHEWAN WOMEN'S SUPPORT GROUP
WHEREAS women of the Kashechewan First Nation have formed a group to support each other in dealing with family and social issues within their community;
WHEREAS these special issues faced by women are important in the social and economic development of Kashechewan and in the growth of self-government within Mushkegowuk territory;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the women's support group recently formed in Kashechewan through the Aboriginal Women's Group be recognized and supported in its mission;
AND THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Assembly supports the principle of a women's centre in Kashechewan and supports funding requests to implement such a centre.
