FffiST NATIONS

WHEREAS the Kashechewan First Nation and the Fort Albany First Nation continue to have a combined membership list, and other features from before the establishment of two separate communities;

WHEREAS the combined membership list raises the issue of inequitable disbursement of funds designated for both communities;

WHEREAS the Kashechewan First Nation and the Fort Albany First Nation have agreed to work together in dividing their band membership list, and in obtaining legal recognition as separate and individual First Nations;

WHEREAS these First Nations need the full co-operation of the Federal Government and/or its designate in resolving these issues;
