RESOLUTION NO. 1997-08-07
SUBJECT: FORT ALBANY FffiST NATION'S ACQUISITION OF CAMPWEEC Ł N
WHEREAS the Fort Albany First Nation has recognized the need to have services on various social issues to support the women and youth in distress m the Mushkegowuk communities; and
WHEREAS there are facilities on Anderson Island (Camp Weechihin) that are suitable to accommodate the proposed services in the Mushkegowuk Territory; and
WHEREAS these facilities are vacant and are not being used for their intended purpose;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the Fort Albany First Nation in acquiring Camp Weechihin to provide support to the women and youth in distress from social issues in the Mushkegowuk Territory.
