RESOLUTION NO. 2000-08-03
MUSHKEGOWUK .JUDICIAL,
POLICING AND CORRECTIONS SYSTEM
WHEREAS the 14th Annual Assembly passed Resolution 1999-09-09: Draft Constitution of the Mushkegowuk
Regional Government;
WHEREAS this resolution has committed the Mushkegowuk Council to a long term, holistic strategy of nation building; and
WHEREAS the development of a Mushkegowuk Judicial, Policing and Corrections System for delivering justice in Mushkegowuk Territory is an integral part of this strategy;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Grand Chief and Deputy Grand Chief are hereby charged with the responsibility to seek funding for the development and design of a region wide Mushkegowuk: Judicial, Policing and Corrections System; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Grand Chief and the Chiefs create an advisory committee on Mushkegowuk Justice to assist the Musbkegowuk:
Council in this important part of Mushkegowuk Nation Building.
