RESOLUTION NO. 2000-8-29
SUPPORT FOR KASHECHEWAN FIRST NATION'SNEED FOR TWO ADDITIONAL POLICE OFFICERS
WHEREAS the accepted ratio of police officers to population is 250 people to each police officer; and
WHEREAS Kashechewan First Nation currently has only four constables, while a policing complement of six police officers would be required to provide an acceptable policing services ratio in Kashechewan;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mush.kegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support Kashechewan First Nation in its efforts to acquire two additional Nishnawbe Aski Police Services police officers.
