Pasico & Mid Canada Line Radar Site Clean up
WHEREAS Pasico Development Corporation (Pasico) has been mandated by the Mushkegowuk communities to provide a vehicle for regional economic development; and
WHEREAS Pasico is investigating a variety of opportunities for Business Development for the member communities; and
WHEREAS Pasico has been working with the Mushkegowuk Council Grand Chief, Mushkegowuk Lands and Resources, Mushkegowuk Environmental Research Centre and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to identify options for the Mid Canada Line Radar Site clean up effort; and
WHEREAS the Ministry of Natural Resources is seeking an organization to oversee, facilitate and manage the Mid Canada Line clean up, ensuring all the affected member First Nation communities involvement is maximized; and
WHEREAS Pasico is seeking additional funding to support the facilitation and management of overall cleanup;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Assembly supports the Pasico Development Corporation to be the sole
